If learning guitar was a 3 legged stool these would be the legs in my humble opinion.
1. Consistent guitar practice.
My best students are consistent with practice. They rarely if ever miss a day. They understand that daily practice is essential for long term success.
2. Follow instructions.
My best students stick to the course and as a result make faster progress. They still experiment and play songs they enjoy but they ensure they get the important practice done.
3. Rarely missed a lesson.
Top students have excellent attendance because they are generally eager to get feedback from their teacher. Missing lessons is generally a sign of a student who is also inconsistent with practice.
